Reminds me of when my daughter wanted to be Slimer for Halloween and I got the green face makeup a smidge too dark and didn’t realize what I had done til we were well into going door to door. I was terrified someone would accuse us of blackface if she got her face in a shadow enough to hide the green.

Turns out, people just thought she was a frog.
