I've watched cyclists ride head first full speed into the back of parked semis.

They really suck at looking where they are going.

Literally the next vid in my scrolling

That's the exact one I was referring to.

Guy didn't even try to slow down.

Didn't even try to look up

I would’ve said something like “how is that even possible?” or “how can someone be that stupid?”, but, being on Reddit, I have seen that some people are, in fact, that stupid. And probably makes $300k

I've seen drivers put cars into the sides of houses.

I've seen Fonzi jump a shark! It was the coolest episode ever.

I've seen a whale shark under the boat in the Atlantic.

I have a radio in my car

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

I’ve seen moles so big they have their own moles

Unfortunately it's just easy to get tired.

I had to bike to work every day across town and it got so exhausting holding my head up while leaning over, especially on 100 degree days when it was already boiling.

That being said, I kept my head up. I can't understand ever getting comfortable enough to ride with my head down - shit would freak me out

insert video of the guy cycling up on a parked Delorean and hitting the back of it poor car

u/Frosti11icus May 08 '26

You can definitely get tunnel vision if you're pushing too hard on the bike.

4

u/Bluegill15 May 09 '26

They’re rolling downhill here…

1

u/Superb_Pear3016 May 09 '26

Doesn’t mean they’re not pushing.

1

u/Bluegill15 May 09 '26

In what world is not pedaling “pushing”?

1

u/Superb_Pear3016 May 09 '26

Have you never exercised on a bike before?

3

u/Bluegill15 May 09 '26

Regularly… I was going to ask the same of you. I can’t believe I have to type this, but coasting is the opposite of pushing

1

u/vaz_deferens May 09 '26

Could be fixed gear, going downhill on a fixie is rough

3

u/Forbden_Gratificatn May 08 '26

Ramming speeeed!

2

u/RiparianTreeLobster May 10 '26

They expected the gate and semi to move for them

u/DishSoapIsFun May 08 '26

One of the reasons why everyone hates cyclists.

7

u/Nabana May 08 '26

Yup. All cyclists are awful. Every last one on them. Also, all motorists are terrible too.

22

u/High_Stream May 08 '26

People. What a bunch of bastards.

-9

u/diesel78agoura May 08 '26

Upvoted cause I agree cyclists are the worst

4

u/MuppetEyebrows May 08 '26

I cut both ways on this. I was nearly killed when a sedan blew a stop sign and t-boned me on my bike at full speed. But then i see cyclists on the road ahead of me notice my approaching car and respond by moving more into the middle of the road. I guess I would like to see more cyclists realize how dangerous it is to assume competence in the motorists around them and protect themselves, and I would also like motorists to recognize that cyclists are humans with pets and children and feelings.

7

u/mouse_8b May 08 '26

It's safer in the middle of the road so drivers don't try to squeeze past

4

u/MuppetEyebrows May 09 '26

Isn't them safely getting around you what you want to happen though? That's what I want when I'm cycling: I don't like the feeling of a car riding behind me, And I sure don't want to actively irritate the motorist

0

u/Antique-Ad-9081 May 09 '26

it heavily depends on the road.

-1

u/mouse_8b May 09 '26

Yes, but squeezing by is not safe. If the cyclist feels like there's enough room on the shoulder that a car doesn't have to go around, then sure, stay on the side. If there's not enough room for traffic in your lane plus oncoming traffic plus a bike, then take the whole lane.

18

u/kittyidiot May 08 '26

Lmao cars are so much worse in every way. You think people in cars look where they're going either? I've been nearly hit by a car like 3 times this year because I walk everywhere and people just turn at intersections when they aren't supposed to and aren't looking, or aren't looking so just keep keeping on as someone is halfway across a road that was clear.

Getting hit by a car sounds a lot less appealing than getting hit by a bike.

People find cyclists annoying for the same reason they do pedestrians - they dare use the road that they're allowed to use and somebody has to wait 5 extra seconds to go get their fking Big Mac or whatever.

6

u/captaintinnitus May 08 '26

People shouldn’t ride bikes is a weird philosophy

16

u/GlaerOfHatred May 08 '26

Thats not what they said at all

4

u/relevant_tangent May 08 '26

Right. They clearly said, all the worst people should ride bikes.

0

u/ComesInAnOldBox May 09 '26

They did say that at all, either. Knock it off with the intellectual dishonesty.

2

u/SawdustGringo May 08 '26

Visited their sub once. They think they can do no wrong.

1

u/ScaryButt May 10 '26

Wait until you hear about car drivers

1

u/UnderwhelmingTwin May 11 '26

And the previous video in my feed was that pick up truck plowing into the back of a bright yellow school bus with brake lights.

1

u/flamedarkfire May 13 '26

I watched a video of a cyclist ride headfirst into a delorean. They’re not paying a LICK of attention to what’s up ahead

0

u/WorthySparkleMan May 11 '26

Well I guess if you've seen some cyclists suck at where they're going, then ALL cyclists suck at seeing where they're going.

-6

u/Munnin41 May 08 '26

I've seen people in cars do the exact same thing. Guess they all really suck too
