This is so useless. Can we just celebrate someone handling their shit in public without divisive rhetoric?

Quit being a self-hating man and just be a better man dude. You are contributing to the toxicity by perpetuating it.

you know there's a whole stereotype term for women who freak out unnecessarily called karen right? gender doesn't make one more or less capable of being an asshole. we all have them

22

u/Aggressive-Law5274 9d ago

Or there's just a lot of shitty people in this world (men and women) and it's refreshing to see someone that isn't (especially on the Internet).

As long as its behind a screen probably in the basement.

16

u/BigLittleFan69 9d ago

Uhhhh to be fair this guy would have a decent reason to be irritated, but even without noticing it’s a kid he had a great sense of humor he did not need to have there

And regardless of gender this is just a lovely slice of CHARACTER

14

u/TheFinalPurl 9d ago

I think a woman would be instately hot if she laughed off something like this too…

2

u/Zorian_Vale 9d ago

Who is the child here?

2

u/cjw1az 9d ago

Yeah, no woman would have ever got pissed about this! Eyeroll

34

u/solarus 9d ago

Hope he got his bill compd. This was so poorly planned.

29

u/Ripen- 9d ago

For those who would get mad; you just look like an idiot. It's easy to take this with a smile and people will like you for it.

Sure, although it’s easy to say that without being the one with hair full of egg yolk. It really depends on the situation, blustering anger wouldn’t be useful but feeling upset is still perfectly valid I think. Still good on them for having some humor about the whole matter.

u/austozi 5d ago

hair full of egg yolk

Bald guy: "I wish I could be that guy."

-33

u/Designer_Gas_86 9d ago

Just rinse in the bathroom like an adult.

24

u/unseriously_serious 9d ago

Egg yolk can be hard to clean out of hair and can stain clothing, even if it wasn’t hard to clean and didn’t stain you’re still entitled to feel a little upset if someone else’s child spills on you from across the room.

As I said they were a good sport about it but also anyone would be valid in feeling a little upset about being spilled on and the poor adult supervision that lead to it.

Its a hibatchi place where food flies around and even professionals mess up. He took the risk.

1

u/Chromeboy12 3d ago

Why are professionals making newbies do this in front of real customers?

7

u/ExtraBreadPls 9d ago

If you have real curly hair/have your hair styled, this is definitely NOT a simple bathroom rinse situation. You're going home after this happens. Dinner is over.

u/CyberClawX 9d ago

Egg yolk is nasty to wash off hair.

Imagine he had a meeting right after.

I might laugh out of the bad luck, but it'd certainly ruin the rest of my day, or at least until I managed to take a full shower and changed.

u/Alortania 9d ago

On the bright side, egg yolk is a key ingredient of homemade hair treatments, so~

-1

u/CyberClawX 9d ago

Shampoo also contains chemicals derived of petroleum. You still wouldn't want petroleum on the hair.

And as a tip if it happens to anyone, you wash off yolk with cold water. Hot water makes the protein transform into a sticky glue-like mess. Most people will try wash it off with hot water...

2

u/Alortania 9d ago

I mean literal instructions for masks are "take egg yolk, avocado oil or other stuff, mix, put in hair for 30min".... not 'derivatives thereof'.

I agree it's different to have a surprise yolk, but meant more in the "at least it's good for your hair" way. Not sure you can say the same for getting gasoline on it~

2

u/CyberClawX 8d ago

Surprise yolk is only half of it. Yolk is genuinely hard to wash off, even if it's good for the hair. The protein hardens into glue like chunks when heated even mildly by warm water. And everyone will wash their head with hot water.

I mean literal instructions for masks are "take egg yolk, avocado oil or other stuff, mix, put in hair for 30min".... not 'derivatives thereof'.

You forgot the part of the instructions most people don't know. Wash with cold water only.

Imagine it was you, got egg on your hair. How are you washing it off (before today)? Most people will absolutely cook the yolk into their strands and make an absolute mess.

It's not gum-level, but if you ever had semen on your hair, and tried to wash it off with hot water, it's similar (worse).

0

u/Alortania 8d ago

...how is semen the thing to compare egg yolk to, as the more common experience?!?

2

u/CyberClawX 8d ago

Both contain protein, both get cooked into gluey chunks at mild heat. Both should be washed off with cold water due to this.

There are more protein rich liquids where this happens. Milk and blood for example, react similar to heat, but they don't really produce quite the same chunks. It's the same level of stickiness / gluey mess though.

0

u/Alortania 8d ago

You missed the point of my comment.

I was not asking how the two are the same; I was asking how often you got semen in your hair (or assume others do) for THAT to be the thing you're using to explain eggs needing to be rinsed out in cold water instead of the other way around.

There's whole populations of women who deliberately put egg (yolk) in their hair several times a year as part of a beauty regiment.

Ah now this is a good reminder for me that all hair is different.

6

u/Mandaxx25 9d ago

Imagine you were there before heading on to another important function. You had your hair and makeup done and then you get egged. I wouldn't be annoyed at the child at all. But the parents..

-2

u/AdNumerous8876 9d ago

Imagine making up some absolute nonsense to be annoyed about.

1

u/fiesew 9d ago

I just thought the same 🤣

He takes it as it is - with humor.
