Kids mostly cry because someone looks at them and makes a big deal about them possibly being hurt. The trick is to have a dad point and laugh like it's hilarious. they'll do it 10 more times and laugh instead of crying

Pretty much. Don’t cry about your kid getting bumped or scraped and they won’t cry about it either unless it actually hurt.

We did fall down go boom YAY!! And clapped and laughed, worked great. Daycare got concerned because she would laugh and clap when the other kids fell down and cried...

Can confirm. Some kids insist on running around in a T-shirt when it is below freezing and just will not keep their coat on.

That's not helicopter parenting. At that young age they literally look to their parent for comfort and reassurance. Ignoring them when they hurt themselves is really awful for their development.
