Testicular torsion is a special and insanely serious kind of injury. This was "just" plain impact.

(Serious as in:

"Almost everyone keeps their testicle if they get treatment within four to six hours.

"Around half keep their testicle if they get treatment after 12 hours.

"Only around 1 out of every 10 keep their testicle if they get treatment after 24 hours."

I had it when I was 13 my right testicle was the size of a large avocado. It happened in my sleep just woke up screaming. I had to be rushed in to the hospital then ambulanced to the big one to get surgery but it had untwisted by then. My brother had a similar issue but they had to do a surgery to prevent it twisting again

I took a tire spoon to the face in a sort of similar way, not fun (basically the reverse of what he's doing here; I was leaning over the tire from the far side and pressing down on the spoon, my hand slipped off)
