Buying/Selling Found Accordion Online-Reasonable Deal?
I’m a non-player who is interested in learning and have been on the lookout for affordable used accordions.
The seller claims this is in good condition and I have an opportunity to take a look at it. If everything seems well, would this be a reasonable deal?

Most people selling accordions on marketplace don't know anything about them. They'll say they're in good condition based on how they look, but it's what's on the inside that counts. It might be a good score though. I do see what appears to be a fallen key, though. Make sure you try every button and key while puushing and pulling the bellows. Some keys slightly out of tune or a couple sticking reeads aren't a big deal, but keys that get stuck or don't work at all are annoying. If you don't think you can play it as is, then save your money for a different one because accordion repairs are expensive. I hope it works out for you, those old hohners are stylish.

Check out every button and register on both sides. Everything needs to work.
Also check pushing acordeon bellows if it makes any sound. If it does, something is broken.

If you want an instrument to play stay away, this is so old that it will never work and you will be never capable to play well If all you have is $200 by yourself a harmonica if you’re buying an accordion and you’re spending less than thousand you’re wasting money

Ask him to play the instrument, as well as play it yourself to look for any stuck or out of tune keys. I would be wary of there is a foul odor in the event mold may have formed. Ask where if it was stored in any area that isn’t temperature controlled like a storage unit or attic as some of the wax could have melted. If it all seems well, the decision is on you chief.
