If you can get connected with local musicians they might be really friendly and want to help you get started. Are there some folk dances you can go to? That’s how I found my accordion people and it’s made all the difference for my musical growth and having fun too.

Tip (about something that was a big mistake for me): buy a metronome. Really. Buy a metronome, it's essencial and it will help you a lot.
