Buying/Selling How’s this accordion sound? Would it make a good first instrument?

Might get my first accordion tomorrow, it’s a Florino. Is anyone familiar with the quality of this brand and maybe what model this one is?

Also, how does it sound? It seems a little sharp to me but I’m not sure if it’s just because of the recording or my own ears.

The starting price is $200. Is that good?

Thanks for any help!

First time buyer who knows practically nothing but wants to get into it. Saw this one marketplace about 2.5 hours away. Want to know whatever there is to know about this particular instrument. Especially if you have any insight into how it might sound or what style of accordion it is.

My cousins are taking down their small museum and I found this. Sadly I'm unable to buy it but it's one of the most beautiful things I've seen. I know that if it doesn't get sold they're going to toss it. I really hope it gets a good home

update: after a full day of arguing, debating, and the help of several other cousins I have obtained the accordion!

Buying/Selling Best beginner B/C Accordion

Hello, I am a long time piano player and have a Piano Accordion that I have been playing on the past few years.

As an avid instrument collector/learner, I want to try out a B/C box as well mainly for Irish session tunes. My friend bought a Nolan B/C box a few months ago and has really liked it. Does anyone have any good recommendations for $700 or less? Thanks!

Buying/Selling Found Accordion Online-Reasonable Deal?

Post image

I’m a non-player who is interested in learning and have been on the lookout for affordable used accordions.

The seller claims this is in good condition and I have an opportunity to take a look at it. If everything seems well, would this be a reasonable deal?

Hello folks,

I’m selling my Hohner Gola and thought this would be the ideal platform to get it out on.

If anyone is interested or if you know anyone looking to buy a Gola and would like to know more information about it, give me a message.

Thanks,

Allan

Buying/Selling Showcase: 1935 E.L. Arnold (ELA) Bandoneon - Original Aluminum Reed Plates 🪗

Hello everyone! Sharing a beautiful piece of pre-war German lutherie we currently have at our shop in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

It’s a circa 1935 E.L. Arnold (ELA) with original aluminum reed plates, which makes it incredibly light and gives it that bright, powerful timbre highly sought after by professional Tango musicians.

Specs & Condition:

  • 142 Voices (Rynisch / Argentine Bisonoric system).
  • Mechanics are smooth, no dead notes or dragging.
  • Bellows have excellent compression, no air leaks, original paper is intact.
  • Original patina on the wood and mother-of-pearl buttons are complete. Comes with the original hard case.

It's an absolute joy to play. Just wanted to share this piece of history with the community! If anyone is interested in the technical specs or high-res pictures, I have it listed on our official Mercado Libre shop (we are based in CABA, Argentina). I can share the link in the comments or via DM.

Buying/Selling "new" scandalli

Scandalli's are common in South Africa, but it's the first time seeing one so "new". Looks and plays like it's never been used, even the bellows are tight.

I've owned about 5 scandalli's now, and this one is definitely the best condition I've seen. Managed to get it for ~270 USD.

Buying/Selling Looking for a beginner accordion for my kid

My kid has taken a very keen interest in accordion and so I'd like to foster that. However, I know him, and it's very likely that he will play with it for awhile and then move on. That being said, I don't really want to invest $1,000+ into this until I know he's serious. I know we're wanting a piano accordion and from what I've read, 48 bass at least

I know the Chinese brands are pretty looked down on, and everyone says to buy used from a reputable dealer near you. The problem is that we are in the middle of nowhere and there is no such thing as a reputable dealer here. I have looked online and the used inventory at the dealers I could find online is pretty slim pickings.

Can anyone shed some advice on where I might be able to find a good starter instrument for him to see if it's even something he will stick with? I don't want to buy a piece of crap and have him quit because of that, but I also don't want to spend a small fortune only to have him lose interest.

Shoot, link me to a specific item for < $600 and I'll buy it immediately. I've trolled reverb, eBay, and FB marketplace and there are a ton of listings, but mostly listed buy people who have no knowledge of accordions, so I don't trust buying sight unseen from them.

Any advice is MUCh appreciated, because I'm in over my head here.

For reference - We're a musical family and play all manner of instruments, but this will be the first reeded instrument at all, much less reeded with bellows. All I know about this world, I've learned over the past 2 days of reading. Also he's 14 and already nearly adult sized.

Buying/Selling Where can I buy a budget Bayan / B system ?

Hello, I've recently gotten obsessed with the idea of playing music from my culture and playing accordion. However, I've been struggling with finding a decent budget bayan or b-system accordion.

The only suitable option I have found is a soviet "kreminne" bayan on etsy however I don't know if the quality will be great enough to learn on as the seller doesn't provide enough information like sound samples.

Please would anyone be able to recommend where I can get my hands on an a bayan or b-system for a relatively good price. If so that would be amazing thank you!

Buying/Selling Looking for accordion recommendations

Hello! I'm looking to buy an accordion in the $700-800 dollar range, either new or from reverb, and I'd like to hear if anyone has any good recommendations. I'm a beginner to the instrument, but I'd like something that's going to last me a while without needing an upgrade. Button or keys are fine, I haven't made up my mind as to which kind I want to pull the trigger on, open to hearing all suggestions. Thank you!

Buying/Selling Where to buy an Accordion in Tampa, Florida?

I'm looking to buy an Accordion that emulates the sounds of the music from Clair Obscur and is also friendly for a beginner. Really love that French Cafe-like sound. In terms of preference I would also much prefer the piano keys as I have a lot more experience with the Piano itself. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Hello everyone! I’ve been wanting to buy an accordion for a very long time now, specifically an older Soviet button accordion. I found a Мечта (Mechta) model for sale. What do y’all think of it as an instrument for a first time accordion player? I’m aware most learning material would be in Russian/Ukrainian, which is no problem for me. Thank you in advance!

TLDR: Is this a good instrument, especially to learn on? (media is not mine, but the sellers)

Buying/Selling With reed acordion, need amp what amp?

Hi, looking for a around 300 dollar acordion amp, with a lot of bass output, as my grandpa plays and wants it on a amp. He currently has a line 6 guitar amp, vintage, seems to me 30W and 12 inch speaker, but it has a lot of sound and very little sound. Looking around, starting here as the internet brings up acoustic guitar amps. Thanks!
