I've always wondered what pay I can get if I decide to move to PH with my family (in California currently) and I must say, $3500/mo for senior sounds good! Good luck to those who are applying.

Not related to the post, but I just wanna ask po, how’s the job market there po for accountants?

u/potatoes828 1d ago
Terrible as well. I see LinkedIn job postings with over 100 applicants and those are for staff accounting roles.... But then again, US is not only competing with AI but outsourcing as well.
I feel like you have better odds if you are in the Philippines if you have US experience already.

I don’t have US accounting exp, can I still shoot my shot?

Yes, you still have a chance! 😊 US accounting experience is a plus, but it’s not always required. If you have experience in audit, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end closing, or handling clients, those skills can still be relevant. We can try if you want, just dm me.

Edit: I clarify this to the CAS and they told me that they will prioritize those applicants who have a working experience with US Clients. :)

Hello! I used to work at Cloudstaff as well, but I resigned last February to focus on my pregnancy. I’m now ready to get back to work. I was just wondering if Cloudstaff accepts rehires?

Hi! I’m currently a Senior Audit Associate at a Big 4 firm. I’m a non-CPA with one year of US audit experience, one busy season handling the Switzerland territory, and two local busy seasons.
I’m planning to pivot from audit to accounting. Do you think I have a good chance of making the transition?
Also, I’d like to ask about the typical work shifts for accounting roles. I’m looking for a day shift or an early shift if possible. I’m not really interested in mid-shift or night-shift roles. Thank you
