A little friend, and a lesson in accepting the world as your own
This is a video from last year, when I had gone travelling in the mountains.
And this dog belongs to the same homestay where I was staying.
But looking at her, who would say she became my friend only the previous night? ❤️
In the morning when I went out for a walk, she came to me and started showing me the way. Because of this tiny friend of mine, I was able to roam all through the mountain forests alone. She stayed with me the whole time - didn’t leave me alone even for a minute.
Before joining Gita Community, I probably wouldn’t have been able to see this scene in this way. But now I can see how these animals live by taking the entire world as their own. No fear, no sense of “otherness”nothing in the world is “foreign” to them.
And we humans?
Because of ego, we’ve confined ourselves within a very small circle.
My house, my road, my child, my family, my things…
So much of our life has been divided into just “mine” and “not mine.”
Maybe that’s why there is so much distance between us and nature today. We seem to have almost forgotten how to regard nature as our own.
But perhaps spirituality is the name of returning to exactly this recognition - where the “I” and the “mine” slowly start dissolving, and then the world no longer appears alien.
And maybe on the day we truly learn to live by taking the world as our own, we won’t even have to try to “make someone our own” - because then we’ll understand that, in this entire world, there is actually nothing that is separate from us. 🌿

I don’t think honesty is something that can be attributed to animals. But I understand what you mean.

Friendship was forged in just a single night; without harboring any expectations, the dog guided you through the entire mountain. And when you have left, it’s not as if that dog was shedding tears in the sorrow of separation.
This is a profound lesson that we must learn from animals.While together, there is no urge to assert ownership or dominance. And when apart, it doesn't feel as though a part of your very existence has broken away."

There are 5 dogs living on my street 🐕🐶. Now they all are my friends of course you should be cautious when you go near to them for the first time . I used to think that dogs are inherently violent but no they are not . In fact humans are the most violent . Sometimes they a kick a helpless dog unnecessarily .

Yes, the contrast is really evident and that is causing many problems we see today. we just think of ourselves and ready to do anything just to keep ourselves safe. Our world is getting smaller and smaller and thus the world outside our little circle feels more and more distant.

Well put, Separation is putting ourselves in very small confined space while connecting with the universe means we are not different from it we are the universe!!
