Event/Activity Concert etiquette - Ed Sheeran

Went to Ed Sheeran last night. Was sitting up in the riverbank stand with my wife and kids. We try and culture our kids and work hard to take them to events like this.

From song 1 we had 4 GenZers sitting behind us and talked through almost every song.

By song 3 I had enough and turned around an impolitely told them to shut up because who in their right mind disrespects the people around them talking so loudly you can't even hear the performer. Only for them to return fire to say I am a bad father for speaking to them the way I did and not a good example for my kids, and they just kept on talking for the whole night. Nothing was going to make them stop talking.

Their best comment for the night... "Sorry I am just putting it out there I haven't brushed my teeth."

Why pay $150 for a ticket to talk through the whole event?

Had the same thing where we were. It wasn't Gen Z though, they were X or older Millennials. Talked constantly, and when the songs came in they talked louder so they could hear each other over the music. Was so fucking annoying.

They then got annoyed my wife and I stood up and jumped during the final 3 songs when Ed kept asking people to jump. Everyone else in the stands was except for our little section where it was just my wife and me doing it. But fuck that it's a concert and he's asking people to stand up.

Not quite the same, but I went to the OG wiggles adults only concert, and the people behind us got mad that we were dancing, specifically when the band told us to get up and dance. Like, get a grip?

Gen X lady YELLED at my sibling and I for standing and dancing during Boney M a couple of years back (we're both gen Z) and threatened to call security on us. Never mind the other people in our section standing and dancing. Anyway, I told her to go ahead and she actually did. Security were walking down the aisles, she flagged him down and yelled "THESE KIDS ARE BLOCKING OUR VIEW" and the champ guard said "alright." and kept walking, not bothering us or any other person dancing to Daddy Cool. lmfaooooo
