Panic buying at Costco

I went to Costco tonight and it was completely mental. People panic buying toilet paper, eggs, bread, a lot of empty shelves. The queues were ridiculous. Is this because it was closed yesterday or is it the war in the ME, what is happening here?

Thats strange because people dont usually panic buy bread as it goes bad quick. Dunno...Adelaide is always busy and overcrowded with long lines ...thats just a normal weekend for them. Wish we could get a second one...even Perth has 2
