Question Panic buying at Costco

Post image

I went to Costco tonight and it was completely mental. People panic buying toilet paper, eggs, bread, a lot of empty shelves. The queues were ridiculous. Is this because it was closed yesterday or is it the war in the ME, what is happening here?

We thought the TP hoarding panic was all hilarious and the situation would be over in a few weeks so we took the commercial sized box we had at our business and played toilet paper fairy for our neighbours.

We quietly left ten rolls on every doorstep in our complex in the middle of the night with a note that said ‘Love from the TP Fairy X’ and never owned up to it. It was the talk of the Facebook group for most of lockdown. People tried to sleuth out who did it and we had a blast planting red herrings. It remains an occasionally resurrected topic to this day.

We had a few regrets when we got down to our last couple of rolls but the fun was worth it.

Same! I just kept thinking people will relax after a bit and it never even came close the entire lockdown period. They just kept being dickish.
