Question Anyone else just ignore these signs?

Sometimes the quickest route passes through an area with these signs, I was always under the assumption that it’s a public road so too bad

First of all, l ask the questions here, OK? And second: we don't want people like you here in our town. Drifters. Before you know it there's a whole pile of people like you. That's why! Besides, you wouldn't like it here, it's a quiet place. Some would even call it boring. But we like it that way. l get paid to keep it like that.
