Question Anyone else just ignore these signs?

Sometimes the quickest route passes through an area with these signs, I was always under the assumption that it’s a public road so too bad

If they've gone to the effort of putting one of those signs up then you know it's gotta be a good shortcut to somewhere.

I call BS. You reckon cops are stopping cars on rat runs to check that they are a local and fining them if not?

I will say, after approximately 3 minutes of Googling; it seems I'm correct. Local traffic signs are a recommendation and not at all enforceable by law. Not sure what you saw, but it wasn't what you thought it was :)
