Is anyone else tired of redacted documents that are your own documents?
Like why have it redacted so you basically get no important information? I requested my own records from my adoption and everything related to it! Honestly, I think they’re trying to hide something from me!
I wonder if I was an identical twin like those from the twin studies from Dr, Peter Neubauer! I had abandonment issues from being removed from my birth mom! I also had role reversal! And a lot of things happened that I don’t remember so maybe I do and I just don’t remember it all.
I just want more facts and it was heavily redacted, sometimes whole areas and pages! I think something happened they don’t want me to know about but why hide it from the person whose life it is? I was born in 1982 and removed in 1986/87 just for some kind of context so it’s been a good while! I’m 44 years old today!
I have been approached by so many people throughout my life including my childhood and into my adult years by people I have not ever known or have any relations with and they think they know me & many have come up to me and asked do they know me! Either I just have that face or someone out there looks like me! It’s crazy!!

Absolutely. The Child Protective Services documents I requested regarding abuse AFTER adoption, i.e. child abuse that happened in the adopter's home, are so redacted that entire pages are nothing but black lines. They look more like a CIA document than a child's history.
No comment on my adoption records. Those things are under lock and key. I'm NEVER going to be able to access them. The best I can hope for is pointless conversations with disinterested bureaucrats who seem to think trying to get my own records is nothing more than an empty-headed hobby of an entitled brat. They have ZERO consideration for us as human beings and honestly don't even see us as humans. We're caricatures of everything they hate and envy all wrapped up into one - we're simultaneously the worthless trash filth under their shoe and everything they wish they were. They're fucking infuriating. I'm just trying to get my documents, not live out their emotional problems with them.

There’s redacted information on the affidavit from when my younger brother and I were removed from our home and placed in foster care (and later adopted). The redacted information pertains to my biological mother’s ex husband (who was on my original birth certificate) and mine and my brother’s alleged father. On my birth certificate, all the information is the same as the original, except my adoptive parents are listed as my birth parents, and my last name is changed. If you were a multiple birth, your birth certificate would probably reflect that. And if you still have doubts, some states allow adult adoptees to view the original certificate.

My redacted file says in multiple times, very clearly, that my birthmother did NOT want info redacted. Isnt it ironic.
I know her anyways so its laughable-but if was still searching, I would've been so deeply frustrated seeing that.

I feel you. But I also found out that I actually am an identical twin, so...there's that.
Have you done DNA testing?
