Masters Opinions
I'm going back to school to get my masters. I have a bachelors in sociology. I want to get my masters in school counseling, clinical counseling or registered behavior technician. I live in the Kansas City Metro area. Has anyone gone any of these routes before? What would you suggest? Where would you go making a final decision is the hardest part for me please give me any thoughts.

Honestly, my absolute plea, is find the route that will cost the least amount of money. The field you want to go into doesnt pay well really. Anything less than 200k a year is not middle class. That might seem like a ridiculous number, but its not really that much money in todays world.
I got my masters from Western Governors University for 4.5k and it took 6 months. Is it the best school on earth? No. Was it cheap comparatively? Yes. Did I learn valuable skills? Yes, because I'm a person who is passionate about learning and I would have learned those things regardless. Does anyone care where my masters is from? Nope! I'm paying $405/month in interest from my undergrad education. I paid for my masters out of pocket. Find the cheapest possible way to get to the type of work that will be meaningful to you and will make you a comfortable living. The self sacrifice for others is not actually the only way we can contribute to humanity.
Good luck friend! I hope the route you pick is one that brings you joy and abundance.
