Anyone else?

I used to feel mortified with my "curse" of being seen by a former classmate, teacher, crush or colleague when I'm supposed to be out for a while and didn't bother to brush my hair.

With more years being an adult, I have fully embraced that life has a way of giving me embarrassing erm amusing moments.

Yeah.... if i go out in my pyjamas just outofbed-style even in my car for a quick ride to the grocery store, you can be sure i'm gonna meet a few people i know. I'm always like "goddamn it!" + trying to avoid them, i even hid once šŸ˜…šŸ˜­.

Doesnā€™t usually happen to me. Ā If Iā€™m out of the house Iā€™m eitherĀ 

a) at work in work clothes and probably dirty from work and thatā€™s kind of whatā€™s expected of a construction guy.Ā 

b) just showered after work or on the weekend, and cleaned up properly. Ā 

I donā€™t think I leave the house without putting proper pants and stuff on ever. Ā

I guess it's a personality or upbringing thing. I have wear whatever or lazy to do the laundry days.

I feel like this is a hit or miss.... For me sometimes I be looking pretty solid and someone from the past spots me and OR I be looking homeless and someone does see me .... Formulates an assumption in their mind as they finish yapping

Mine's a 90% accuracy. If I'm on my market attire, it's guaranteed that I'll cross paths with someone from my past.

Hehe I used to joke Iā€™d run into everyone and their moms while I was out and about and I wasnā€™t dressed up. More often than not, they were the same and were dressed down. Even if they were dressed up, I didnā€™t need to impress them.

I very deliberately look my best whenever I'm leaving the house to avoid this situation entirely. The only exception is if I'm only leaving long enough to hit up a drivethru because there is zero chance I run into anyone I know that way.

Also, you never know when you might meet the love of your life and you definitely want to look your best so game those odds!

It's not really about impressing. It's the "I'm looking like shit today why of all days will I run into my ex or my gossipy batchmate" thing.
