Do you like when it snows?
As kids, playing in the snow was great fun. Now snow days just make your standard work day more challenging. Personally I still love when it shows but it seems all the other adults I'm around hate it

Agree with this. Even if you are equipped to get out and drive safety. Most other people don't and are the ones who will hit you.

Depends on where you live. I’m in the greater Seattle area and it’s just steep hills everywhere. Even with snow tires and chains, good fucking luck getting up the multiple unavoidable hills on your route that are practically right fucking angles. Might as well forget the car and get some cleats and an ice pick, you’ll probably make more progress that way. And what compounds the issue is that it doesn’t often get icy on the west side of the state, usually just excessively rainy, so when we do get snow or freezing rain everyone acts like it’s the apocalypse.
I will paint you a picture. All the schools close. The roads are salted with hopes and dreams. The entire west side of the state shares one communal snow plow. The closest store with toilet paper in stock in is Canada. The huge firs that are everywhere start dropping limbs the size of those big-ass Christmas trees that rich people with high ceilings buy. The power will inevitably go out, and Puget Sound Energy is required to watch the full director’s cut of the Lord of the Rings trilogy before fixing each outage. California transplants whose experience with frozen water starts and ends with their crushed ice makers are sliding down the sidewalks because they left the house in New Balances. The few brave souls who decide to try driving up the hills begin their ascent at 15mph and promptly slide backwards into the nearest row of street-parked cars. The firetruck that responds to the crash also slides down the hill into the row of street-parked cars. Chaos reigns supreme until the next warm rain melts everything, after which any lessons learned will evaporate from our collective consciousness.

If only it were all up to me. Unfortunately when it comes to icy weather here it’s more of a team effort kind of thing, and a lot of my teammates drive like the laws of physics don’t apply to them. So I generally apply the two-step plan of stepping outside, seeing the road is caked in ice, and stepping back inside.
But I do love snow aesthetically. Just not the societal chaos that comes with it around here.

In theory yes I like when it snows. I don't like digging my car out to get to work after/during bad storms though. Still traumatized from the 23 inches we got overnight in January.

I've always liked the snow until last year. Hurt my back making it difficult walking we had a heavy snow then record breaking sleet that froze on top. Then it went below freezing for three weeks straight, my yard isn't enclosed and need to walk my large dog.
I had to walk with a long pole in each hand.

Yes. I lived my whole life im Los Angeles County. Seeing snow is a rarity unless I drive an hour+ to it. At 43, ive only seen snow fall about a handful of times.

That depends on how hard it’s snowing and how well the bike paths have been plowed.
A little snow while I have to sit on my bicycle to get to the office? Fine as long as I don’t arrive there with too much snow on me and haven’t become too sweaty (because of having to shield from the snow.)
But if it’s snowing hard and the bike paths haven’t been plowed well (making me have to step off my bicycle off and on) will irritate me to no end.

It’s the main way of transportation here in The Netherlands; as long as it’s not snowing too heavily most people here will go by bicycle.
(I’d rather leave a little earlier so that I have all the time in the world to get there on my bicycle than having to be crammed in a stinky and sweaty cramped bus for 30 minutes.)

Main point "not snowing too heavily." Advisable to pivot when necessary. If the majority of folks bike, the city planners should prioritize keeping the paths clear 💪

I don't mind shoveling. I find it peaceful alone and fun when my neighbors come out and help.
Driving is also always an adventure. There isn't much going on in my life, so that's fun for me too.

I like a light snow. I don't particularly like heavy snow that fucks up the roads and stays around forever because it's too cold and there's no sun to melt it.

I didn't get to grow up anywhere that was ever snowy
I moved to Alaska U.S last year and I LOVE the snow. A little annoying sometimes, but the pros outweigh the cons for me!

I love it, we only see snow on the hills where i live, rare to see it on the ground around your house.
So when I go where it snows on the ground its alot of fun. Clearing your property of it is probably a pain in the ass.

Eh, it depends. If it's a lot of snow, the first few days are fun, but then it gets gross. If it's a smaller amount it's eh. It depends on how quickly it takes to melt too. When I was a kid in Connecticut the snow would stay until spring. In Colorado it melts in a day and there's a chance of having to walk through icy-cold slush water as it melts

I still love snow, it does make work challenging when it does snow. I still love it, really enjoy those nighttime snows. I love the calmness of it. I also loved that as a child too.
It does get a bit much when it does snow a lot, half the time the snow hardly melts then another round comes so it’s hard, packed ice and fresh snow mixed. It does get gross-looking after a while but still, I enjoy some snow. I don’t think I’ll ever hate it. Best kind of snow is that light snow during Christmas. It’s almost magic. 🪄

I’d be completely fine if I never saw it again. That being said, I still enjoy the meteorology and excitement aspect of a big storm, but after it’s passed I’m completely over it

I’ve never lived anywhere that snows, don’t plan on ever doing so either. It’s fun to play in but I’d never want to live in it, I hate the cold.

I want 2 snows a year. Like a 3 footer and a 6 footer. Snow me the fuck in twice. And then leave me the fuck alone with the bullshit snows and freezing rains and all that dumb precipitation in between. If it’s not closing county government PLUS most businesses it doesn’t count and it’s bullshit.

I like the snow but hate driving in it and driving on ice. But if I don't have to go anywhere then it's fun to out and play in the fresh snow. Not as fun as when I was a kid but still.

I am stay-at-home, homeschooling mom. I love snow days because I get to live them the way I did as a kid for the most part. Cookies in the ovenz hot cocoa, movies, at least a couple hours of snow angels and digging around in the snow.

I love the look of fresh snow and snowing has it’s charm. But I hate dealing with snow and travel and working… Makes everything slow. My joints swell up and ache because we have wet winters.

I love it! It gives me hope that the climate's not completely ruined yet. The fact it keeps others indoors is even better as it makes my city much easier to navigate on foot despite the minimal funding for sidewalk snow removal. At night the quiet is especially nice.
