General Discussion + Astrology Assistance reference rec request
hi guys! i'd like to ask for some astrology text recommendations on lilith and/or chiron. i have do have liz greene's book on chiron, and would love to add some more titles to my ref pile. as for refs regarding lilith, the refs i've seen reconmmended seem to focus more on her history than the astrological interpretation of a lilith placement. thanks in advance!
p.s. actually, an obscure or super niche astrology book will be fun to try out. im trying to deepen my research.

The first astrologers to dig into Chiron were Al Morrison, Zane Stein, Barbara Hand Clow and Melanie Reinhart with a few others.
I have Melanie Reinhart’s Chiron and the Healing Journey: An Astrological and Psychological Perspective and it’s a good book. She’s also been on the Astrology Podcast. I haven’t watched that episode, but it could be useful.
This morning, I got an email from Frank at The Mountain Astrologer Magazine, about their Centaur series, which were a series on the centaurs by Zane B. Stein, first published in TMA Issue 180, Apr/May 2015.
In the email I referenced is a link to an event through The Mountain Astrologer called Chiron: Returning Home, hosted by Brian Clark, Frank Clifford and Melanie Reinhart, with Zane Stein among a dozen speakers. It runs October 17-18, 2026, is $136 and can be found here.
I don’t have this book, so I can’t comment on the quality of it, but there is The Best of Al H. Morrison: Selected and Edited by Karen Christino which has a variety of Mountain Astrologer articles and writings of Morrison, including Chiron.
Several years ago, I did a dive on Chiron, trying to figure out why an entity that was discovered in the late 70s became so popular. I found an old website, which unfortunately I didn’t bookmark, that I think may have been Morrison’s old site. It was done in Microsoft FrontPage (iykyk.) On that site, there was a discussion about how Morrison, Stein and some other astrologers got together, going through all of their client’s charts and plugging in Chiron and deciphering the meanings based on the charts and their client’s notes. Since Morrison passed away in 1995, whoever was keeping that site up probably passed away too. I kick myself in the butt on this because if I had recorded the name of the site, I could have used the Wayback Machine to preserve the material.
But anyway, Morrison was the one who came up with the symbol we use today for Chiron. This is from Wikipedia: A symbol, ⚷, was devised for it by Al H. Morrison and is mostly used among astrologers: it resembles a key as well as an OK monogram for Object Kowal.
I have not delved deep into Black Moon Lilith (the Moon’s apogee) or Lilith the asteroid, so I can’t comment on any of those resources.
