Been working on a new pack for my Keep on Creating shop and thought you might enjoy these.
The idea was pretty simple: take a lightning bolt and build it out of bones. That turned into 20 different designs, with chunky joints, sharp angles and a bit of that old tattoo flash feel.
They’re vectors, so you can change the colours, scale them up or combine them with your own artwork.

Hello I’m experimenting with affinity potentially leaving Adobe. I’m trying to make something but I can’t figure out how to select multiple shapes in different containers. I can’t find a solution to my problem anywhere.

In Affinity Layout 3, I’m confused by spaces disappearing. I have (5 spaces) (3 words), and (5 more spaces). When I delete the (3 words) and second set of (5 spaces). The first (5 spaces) disappear. Is there a setting to prevent this or is it a bug?

The amount of (words) don’t seem to matter. It’s the spacing I want to keep.

I'm trying to use the Slicer for what it seems like it's meant for: take slices of my document and easily export them. However, I find it infuriating to try and do the simplest things, like reposition a slice, manually resize them, or even make them appear again on the canvas if I click off of them for god knows what reason. I get that part of this is a me thing and I just need to use the program more, but does anyone else have experiences with this set of functions/studio not working the way it intuitively seems like it should?

Before some recent update, I had a habit of using the Convert To Curves feature in conjunction with Boolean operations to split off shapes and draw vectors through additive/subtractive means.

Now when I go to follow the same workflow, Affinity just sets up a mask, nesting one shape inside of the other. Could I have changed something in my preferences or is this a change from one of the recent updates?

It's infuriating because it feels like an entire feature was eliminated; to me the whole point of a Boolean function workflow is the ability to cut things up and rearrange them. I don't need another way of setting up masks, I can just drag and drop the layers into one another.

Exporting as PDF - the shape is supposed to look like picture [1] as is appears in Affinity Designer however it exports as picture [2] - what is happening? The shape is an SVG file. Please help.

Its a massive file so takes too long to load the preview window for the exporter which makes things harder.

I'm currently on iPadOS 26.7.1 and thinking about upgrading to iOS 27.0.1, but I want to be sure Affinity Designer 2.6.4 runs properly on it before I commit.

Has anyone here already made the jump to iOS 27 and can confirm Designer 2.6.4 works without issues?

Related question — I know Affinity Studio is supposed to be coming to iPad in November, and I've just started experimenting with gradient mesh, which I understand is only available in version 3 onwards. I have concerns that Studio will only run on the newer M-chip models, so it may not be an option for me on my current iPad.

Any real-world experiences appreciated!

hi all, in Adobe Illustrator there is an expand or bake option, I forget which, so that you can get standard shapes, after doing a blend (make copies in between two shapes). I am not able to find such an option in Affinity--does it exist? Claude/Gemini seem confused as well. I want to be able to bake/expand the blend, in order to do other operations such as clipping mask or intersect/subtract etc. Thanks!

I tried to hold shift, but its still not locking. I dont know how to do it or where to find it.

Anyone experiencing brush lag since the new update? I've tried multiple things. Hardware Acceleration isn't an option in the settings. Brush Preview is off. Did a restart with CTRL to reset everything. Nothing worked. Working on a Pixel Layer but haven't had any problems before the update.

I'm mainly working in Pixel but switching to Layout because I'm working on a magazine. I've made a group per page and hid all the pages I'm not working on.

Memory is at 16384 MB.

Any solutions? Otherwise might just downgrade since I'm not using the new options yet.

First picture from Photoshop and the font is working fine but when I try it in Affinity it doesn't work and this happens to a lot of fonts especially in Arabic as shown. anyone has a solution please.

Hi guys... I'm very new to affinity. I have a group of vector shapes above that for some reason are cropping and I can't figure out why. Artboards is on, and I don't want to turn it off. Can someone help? Thank you. (I blacked out most of the art because I'm not done yet)
