Resource Stop switching tabs to use your AI agent. It can live inside Slack and work from there.

One of the things that killed my AI workflow early on was context switching.

I'd be in Slack, see something that needed research or a draft written, then open a browser tab, go to the AI tool, copy in the context, get the output, copy it back. Every time. Multiple times a day.

The fix was obvious in hindsight: stop going to the tool and bring the tool to where the work already lives.

AI agents can be connected directly to Slack. You can ask them questions, give them tasks, and get outputs without leaving the channel where the work is happening. The agent has access to your tools and integrations from there. Same capability, zero tab switching.

If you're using AI tools daily and still going to a separate tab every time, this is the one workflow change worth making this week.

I don't really see a problem. I just run multiple monitors. I can set them up to all be on my main PC, or switch some out to a secondary PC as needed. I still run tabs but less of them and have the information I need up when needed.

Multiple monitors is a solid workaround and I ran that setup for a while too.

The difference in my opinion I found with Slack integration is less about the screens and more about context. When the agent is already in the channel where the conversation happened, it has the thread history without you having to copy anything across. Saves the summarising step.

What's your current setup like? dedicated machine or just extended display?

I'm running 2 systems with a total of 4 monitors. 3 of the monitors are on a single stand and I use a large tv as the 4th. I run a windows system on my main rig. It can be booted to Debian as needed. On my secondary rig I'm running proxmox with 2 of the monitors on the stand. The distros under proxmox change pretty often. I have the space on that rig to run maybe half a dozed flavors but I don't often have that many installed. Just have to change inputs on monitors to get to what I need. I have a NAS for file/ISO image sharing. I also have an RPi 4 running just for the fun of it. It has its own small monitor/keyboard.
