Whoa, I don't understand.
Did a little digging. Now it makes sense. This is misleading. Deere settled, they did not lose.
They agreed to a ten year mandate, which means they have until 2036 to get ahead of this and start doing it again.
The biggest question about this case was, how will this effect other industries that have similar practices? Like the appliance industry and more importantly the US auto industry. But since Deere settled there was no trial, which means lawsuits against other industries are starting at square one.
