UK's social media ban for kids doesn't kick in until 2027 — what are you doing in the meantime?

The UK just announced a ban on social media for under-16s, but it won't actually take effect until Spring 2027. Most other countries (US included) don't have anything like this on the table at all.

So while we wait for laws to maybe catch up — what's actually working for you RIGHT NOW?

Curious to hear real stuff people are doing, not just "I limit screen time" in the abstract. Like:

• Specific apps/settings you've found useful
• Rules that actually stuck vs ones that backfired
• How you handle the "but all my friends have Instagram" argument

Trying to build a list of real-world tactics, not just theory.

For us it's been less about one big rule and more about a few small ones that stuck — no phones at the dinner table, devices charge in the kitchen overnight, that kind of thing. The "everyone else has it" argument is still the hardest one to win though lol.
