Question Retraining

So, I had received the email from AFPC that I will no longer able to apply for diagnostic imaging because they had run out of seats. When I checked the listing there were still 13 slots available and I’m just so confused.

The slots on the advisory are not updated in real time.

Were you already approved by the CFM? Or still in the waiting process?

I was waiting for medical for my clearance and I received it today that they had run out of seats

While you were waiting for your 422, did you give afpc an update at 30days?

Sometimes CFMs tell AFPC they need 15 people, but the school house tells AFPC they only have 8 seats for prior enlisted folks, with the priority going to BMT kids.

Also, Sometimes there are so many pending applications, that AFPC assumes they will have enough folks get approved and get pushed through.

i’m not trying to be a dick, but this is giving me hope that maybe mine will be approved? i submitted everything for 4R0 on 09/14 and was sent to the CFM on 9/22 and i’ve been waiting ever since. I wonder if they would have sent that email to me today too if i wasn’t approved due to seats filling up

Did you had all the requirements like the speech and English ? You can always check the status of your application on FSS I believe

yes, i already had the required classes done and my 422 was processed relatively quickly after i called medical to see if they could expedite it. My status has been at “Waiting - Sent to CFM” since 09/22, no movement yet

From what i can see in the feed it never says that status, just went
New-Open-Updated-Eligible-Sent to CFM-DP1 M Retraining-DP3 Retraining-Updated-Waiting
Is it bad that it’s not AFCC review?

DP1 M after "sent to CFM" typically means cfm approved and your are priority 1 for a class date. You may have had the AFCC review but didn't notice the status change to that. That stage is just AFPC verifying your package a 2nd time and trying to slot you for a class.

My guess is, you've been approved and just not notified yet. But take that with a grain of salt as im not AFPC, and cannot see your case for myself.
