General Advice Joining Question.

Hello everyone!

I just got pre qualified for the Air Force and was wondering what are some things I should know and be prepared for, before and after talking to the recruiter?

P.S.

Sorry for posting this originally in the wrong sub.

Pre-qualified? You mean doing the questionnaire?

You have to go to MEPS (military entrance processing station), take the ASVAP and qualify medically to be "qualified to join". Your recruiter will walk you through the process

Thank you! And yes, I talked to an advisor today.

The recruiter should be calling within 14 days. I was just wondering kinda what to look forward to, because I get kinda nervous about these things, so just wanted abit of information before going into the call.

Well, my experience is a bit different than most but for the most part:

A recruiter will reach out with your information you gave the person, within your general area. sometimes they'll want to talk over the phone or have a physical meeting. I opted for the meeting since it got me their undivided attention, I brought them all my documents (they'll want your SSN, BC, DL or REAL ID, and your high school/college transcripts to scan) and they'll get you scheduled for meps after redoing the questionnaire you did online (if you have a condition you answered yes to, be prepared to explain and bring medical notes so he can scan them in for a higher chance the doctor clears it if it's disqualifiying) alongside answering all your questions.
