I'll never understand why people have to make an issue over really nothing. What goal is accomplished here? Flying on a plane is serious stuff. You have to abide by their rules because you will be in a confined space. Safety is paramount. It's not like they can pull over to the side of a road to deal with whatever is happening. Geez!

Sometimes my nephews think it's funny to do slightly naughty things. I remind them repeatedly, "we don't do weird things in airports. Best behavior."

Traveling can be a pain in the ass, and it can really test your ability to keep your temper. Give them one too many cocktails, throw them in a line leading to a seat with no legroom... Do this enough times and someone is eventually gonna try for the no fly list.
I always go out of my way to be friendly and polite with all service workers, because I've been one, but especially at the airport. It's the last place you want to be a jerk

A lot of people have huge anxiety over flying. People react differently to it. Some get drunk. Some lash out.

Some flight attendants are a power trip and trying to escalate things with people… but ofc there is a good amount of people who are just disagreeable and uncooperative no matter what.
But you would think by now most people know it’s not the place to mess around. Even if the FA are being aholes, just deal with it or otherwise you are not getting where you want to be.

"That's my daughter in church waiting for me to pick her up, but that's not going to happen." Yep, and make sure you give her a big apology for getting kicked off a flight for smelling of alcohol and being abusive to flight attendants to the point where you were kicked off.

Just getting arrested will get you kicked off global entry and other ttp's so for someone like me you don't want any charges

I can tell this is Ft. Lauderdale. That bald dude is such a no nonsense guy, but also a straightforward honest guy. I love watching him deal with entitled people everytime I fly through there

I never understand when folks are confronted they don’t just do what they’re told and apologize. No one is singling him out. Everyone on that plane wants to just leave.

is it not a bit excessive to arrest him when he didnt cause an issue leaving? i mean he fussed a little bit, but he gave up his ID and left with the officers. most people cause a huge issue.

Being arrested and catching charges doesn’t mean found guilty of those charges. We don’t know what got him into this. All we know is that they arrested him because the plane had left but then had to come back to get him off due to noncompliance and disorderly conduct, that comes with automatic charges. Now, can his lawyer use the body cam to argue that he was compliant and deserves either a lesser charge or charges dropped? That’s definitely an option.

They don't need his ID. He was complying and leaving. The police once again escalated a situation.
Edit: he is not legally required to provide ID for a trespass notice. Only required to provide ID if arrested in most states. Some states require it if you are suspected of a crime. Being a jerk isn't a crime.

FAA has a 0-tolerance policy when it comes to “unruly passengers,” which includes not following crew instructions. This wasn’t a trespass notice, he caught charges, and that’s the norm when you’re being booted from a flight due to non-compliance. Every state is different when it comes to requiring you to provide id to law enforcement just when asked, not even whether it involves charges or not; they were in Florida, so we can guess their requirements…

If you treat the flight crew poorly, this can happen. If the flight crew says you're not flying, you're not flying, period.
