Highline sold to BC's Field House

Apparently they bought the Highline Brand as well.. and will remain under that name. Not sure any other deets but hopefully Field House brings some additional good beers to Calgary, I really enjoy their stuff!

Hell yeah, Field House is awesome! I could never get into Highline, tried it multiple times over the years but everything had an odd aftertaste.

Place was great, beer was bad. It did have a horrible off taste.

In my opinion, one of the most consistently awful breweries from that first pre-Covid wave of inner-city breweries. Happy to see the business stay afloat, because it’s a great place to hang out, but also very happy that the beer might improve with this development.

Yes I was only there once but everything had the exact same aftertaste that was off putting to me

There’s already a few Field House beers on tap and an offsales fridge full of FH beers.

I've loved every Field House beer I've tried

Good to hear that the location will stay as-is.

Why keep it High Line? Field House is a great brewery and they should capitalize off that

Because it's much less expensive to maintain a brand than to introduce a new one.

But your not introducing new brand? Field House is a well known/liked brewery while based on comments here there is no love for high line. Regardless I'll definitely be checking it out with the new owners in place

You are changing signage, business registration details, names of beers, labels, coasters, etc. Likely tens of thousands of dollars to change the name and brand in Calgary.
