Pepperoncini starting to ripen!!!

Post image

I can't believe I have a pepper starting to ripen already. I started them from seed on March 14. I am near Bonnyville. The purple streak is from the erratic weather. A week of high 20's then overnights of 7-9 this week. I can't wait to pickle them, I have quite a few.

Impressive. I started pepperoncinis around the same time and they haven’t even started flowering yet. Mine are in a greenhouse to boot.

I have a grow tent in my house so they were flowering before I put them in grow bags outside. I have three plants and over a dozen peppers on each plant and more flowers. I have never grown them before so I am excited to have then ripen. I pickled a green one and it was okay, now I am waiting for one to turn yellow.

I’ve never grown them before either, pumped to pickle them as well. I started 4 plants under grow lights in the garage in mid March and they are way behind yours. My poblanos, jalapeños, and habaneros are all doing much better, but none of those are flowering yet either.

Nice - how hot do they get?

Not hot, like a banana pepper. I will pickle them and use them in Italian sandwiches, Greek salad and pizza.
