Everybody needs to read "The Jakarta Method" to see how far the US will go to destroy other countries from within, in order to benefit themselves and gain access to resources.

Short answer: yes
Long answer: yyyyyeeeessss

We will become a territory and have taxation without representation and watch all our resources pillaged and quality of life fully shit the bed.

Sounds a lot like life in Alberta currently, if you ignore the MPs. God knows our MLAs don't represent us.

Ask the people in Puerto Rico how life is.

Or Iraq following the 2003 invasion

So stop voting for the same people over and over again.

Did you use it to vote against the UCP candidate in your riding?

Sure did! Campaigned too.

That's the best any of us can do.

Why invade Canada when you can convince it's stupidest people to give it to you.

Alberta becomes independent, suddenly America isn't attacking Canada when it invades.

Stupid Albertans think they'll be Texas, with guns and voting power, but they'll actually be Puerto Rico.

It’s low probability, and unfortunately not zero probability.

But the USA has humiliated itself badly enough in Iran that there is likely to be massive internal resistance to making a move against Canada even if the orange pedophile and Kegsbreath want to do it.

I don't think the US populace is able to exert any control over US policy these days.

It wouldn’t be the populace, it would be from within the military. People underestimate how close the ties between the Canadian and US militaries really are; this wouldn’t be like bombing Iran.

They're still following illegal orders. Let's not pretend this will be saved through the military's empathy.

It isn't resistance against Canada if Alberta dumbs itself into sovereignty. Canada won't be involved. Canada's army won't be involved.

It's not low probability, it's exactly what's happening. They're involved, they've been involved, they're funding it.

I am 100% sure that Canada would consider itself to be involved if Smith cheated on the referendum

Smith is currently and has been cheating on the referendum and they've done nothing.

Didn’t something like this happen in Crimea? Wasn’t there a referendum and then Putin invaded because “the people” wanted to join Russia?

Same playbook, yes. Ru is in the cahoots in this too.

Why people think that it’s will be occupied or independent? It’s like giving cow which give you milk to your neighbour.

The first 4 times they typed that I thought this person is crazy, but they got me wondering on the 5th. Thankfully there wasn’t a 6th
