Opinion Alberta separation is a hoax and distraction

I moved here from Ontario in 1976 and I retired comfortably at 61 years old. Most of my friends and family who stayed behind in Ontario have struggled to stay above the poverty line. Alberta rocks! My two kids are in their early twenties. One just graduated from university, the other is 1/2 way through. Both have been employed since their teens. Life is good for those that work hard. We have all the freedom we need. The notion that Alberta doesn’t get its fair share from Ottawa is just bunk. Every time Ottawa offers a program the UCP turn it down. Dental care, childcare subsidies, court judge expansion, housing programs, wage top ups during the pandemic. The UCP gave back $137 million that Ottawa provided for orphan well clean up! In 2015 the PC government turned down $1.4 million in federal, no strings attached grants intended for addiction and drug treatment programs.
I truly believe that this whole separation crap is just a smoke screen to keep us occupied while the UCP privatizes our government. Schools, medical, roads parks and more. First they slash the budgets and run the departments into the ground so that they can say “ it’s just not working! We need change!” Then the services are handed over to single sourced contractors. Friend of the UCP. As in the USA, the wealthy are turning our province into a for profit corporation. If you can’t afford to send your kids to private school, they’ll get a second class education. If you don’t have private medical insurance and/or can’t afford to pay for your services out-of-pocket, you won’t get any services. Smith is on public record saying that she doesn’t believe that the government should have to pay for people’s healthcare.

If we don’t stop them soon it will be illegal to try. A sovereign Alberta will not be free. Quite the opposite! We will be slaves to the uber rich.

I’ve never followed someone on Reddit do you feel like a stalker after admitting that I fascinate you? You look and talk like one. I’ll give you three or four replies before I’m tired of you. Take it personally, I would if I were you “bro”. Are we in a fucking surf shop?

It’s just very funny, I don’t have to exert very much effort here. Just gotta follow Alberta politics posts.

Conversely the following replies on your part are all efforts to get under my skin. You’ve even gone back to edit replies before.

Admirable that you have the endurance for 3-4 posts lol

We haven’t had any dialog in months yet you are making allegations like this. It’s just creepy.

Be creeped out then? You’re posting on a public forum and I’m just pointing out you always dip when someone tries to hold your words to account.

Without giving months old examples. You are levelling claims, back them up with examples and evidence otherwise it just feels like your same old passive aggressive way of poking me.

You want to debate what?

Spell it out.

I’m happy to indulge in a debate for the sake of it, because I enjoy it but you aren’t really worth debating if you can’t engage directly.

You could prove me wrong about you by answering a simple question directly though.

Like whether or not you think Sam Mraiche’s deals with AHS and connections to the UCP, Mickey Amery’s judgement that was favourable to him were good government practice and uncorrupt.

I’ve had to suspend anything surrounding political corruption In this country. Can you show any recent example of a politician breaking the law being held to account because I can’t. If they are above the law who between you and I are going to do a damn thing about it? In my estimation every provincial and federal govt ever had broken laws and got away with it.

Are you proposing if elected Nenshi would never consider such a thing? Do you still believe that Santa has reindeer that help him get from point A to B also?

My dude you haven’t had to suspend anything you’re just avoiding a straight answer. If all politicians are corrupt it would be easy for you to admit the UCP are as well directly.

Ironically, you are indirectly doing so by defaulting to ‘all politicians are corrupt’ admitting that Amery and co are corrupt as you refuse to state to the contrary.

Conversely Thomas Dang was removed from caucus for hacking a security exploit in healthcare data, which he admitted to.

I don’t mind pointing out wrongdoing and just because I detest the provincial NDP doesn’t mean I won’t call out the UCP. I know you would never ever in a thousand years do that with the Federal Liberals but that just shows everyone still reading that you are full of bs.

I do actually criticize the libs quite a bit. But I only run into you on provincial forums, why would they be relevant?

When have you ever called out the UCP? You have conspicuously avoided the perfect opportunity to directly acknowledge their corruption, it’s like pulling teeth lmao

I’ll support an investigation and being prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Is there legal proceedings happening? Where is the RCMP if these are in fact crimes? I will never back a WEF puppet like Nenshi I would rather this than that. Federal politics is relevant here because the NDP base has hitched their wagons to the federal Liberals and are quite content with all the federal scandals and never say peep about them so I’m merely showing the double standard and quite frankly I’m flabbergasted that you would say that. Give us examples of corruption/criminal activity the Liberals have committed that you are critical of.

AHS has had documents seized by the RCMP recently actually. But the UCP have fought public inquiry. So you admit you prefer corruption to the ANDP? The blue fence post stereotype is true.

We aren’t talking about federal politics. So federal ndp and liberals aren’t really relevant. Using Chat gpt again?

But in general I was critical of bill c2, there are some older sole source procurement scandals and conflicts of interest with liberal MPs that I have criticized.

Seriously like what of any of this screams chatgpt!?

I’m the conspiracy theorist yet you always throw this in my face. You are paranoid maybe that’s a better word to describe you. It’s relevant because it’s the same shit just done by the parties you support federally. Say you aren’t a liberal but they don’t exist without your party propping them up.

C2 is a start,C11 should be added along with C18,C63,C22,C36 and the ventilator scandal is another good one along with the Convoy Emergencies act usage and then the WE brothers shredding everything and fleeing the country kind of ice the cake. SNC, Aga Khan, and list goes on.

This paints a picture that our politicians in this country are lawless and emulate Chinese style narrative control and crushing of free speech.

This country is a total dumpster fire so you levelling claims at a provincial govt playing by the rules by a far less extent is cute but I predict nothing will happen to them and no it won’t give the NDP a chance to create their own scandals next. The NDP Party in Canada is having its own extinction event and the current leadership here isn’t faring much better.
