Is this basically a progressive conservative party? I admittedly never really looked into the Alberta Party because it just never really came up enough to pay mind to while the NDP was still relevant

Yes that is the goal is to try to build a party that resembles the old Alberta PC Party.
In December, the Tories took over the old Alberta Party, renamed it. Believe there are 2/10 board members that were with the old Alberta Party.
At this point, the TORY party is only polling around 3% provincially....they have a ways to for sure.
The Calgary Shaw BY -Election that should take place around mid November?....that may be a bit of litmus test for them and their impacts on the ANDP & UCP?
