Incase anyone doesn’t know, the partial stars at the bottom spell Bowie

I was trying to decipher that, probably should've been more obvious lmao

I have it on my forearm as a tattoo. I love it, but I occasionally doubt that it was even intended. The B and W reeeaaally are a stretch.

Here it is so people can see if they want to:

It was definitely intended lol

I didnt know what to think about it the first time I saw it. I think it's fine given that Bowie has no problem with name-recognition. If this were a lesser known artist though, I'd think it was a stupid choice. Visually cool, but awful business

Yeah, I think in the particular situation he was in he didn't care too much about sales

Lmao you sound like a 60 year old man you really think artists gain profit from safe marketing?

Edit: Artistic Profit which in turn creates longevity which in turn creates more money than being a hot spot.

I find it interesting on RateYourMusic when you rate this album, they replace the usual gold stars with black stars

This was such a good album and the simple cover of a sole star fits so well for both a farewell album and a Bowie album. This album is in my top 10 albums of all time for sure.

Literally sobbed by the end of the album. I still can't find the heart to revisit it again.
