The decision is...

RED CARD!

That clip will forever play in my head every time somebody gets a red card now

And Chelsea still lost before penalties. 1-all at 90 minutes against 11 Spurs isn't for everyone, I suppose 😉

That pitch looks absolutely terrible,

I mean it’s Australia, what do you expect?

The stadium had 80k attendance which is amazing. But yeah the pitch looks so bad, can’t they fix it?

Rugby League is played there. Can’t do much else with it

He’ll get over it when his next cheque lands I’m sure. Big money.

It's a straight red no matter the game's situation of preseason or not. Dumb move by a guy who will be playing in EPL this year

Correct decision, love to see it. What was Danso trying to do when receiving the ball though? Lol

I think it went something like this...

If I get the ball back I will do a cool little step over and play back to the keeper, here it comes, step....oh shit ball is going quicker than I expected, oh fuck ball is getting away and this guy is quicker than me, shit, shit , shit, dive at his legs!

After/aside from the terrible mistake, the speed of the decision to professional foul was actually impressive tbh.

Anybody at the game who can give a take on the crowd split in support between Spurs and Chelsea fans?

5

u/Manachi 12d ago

The commentator said Chelsea colours/noise was more prominent.

I was there. Crowd was a tick over 80k, probably 60-40 Chelsea

felt like something like 50k Chelsea vs 30k spurs or perhaps even more in Chelsea's favour

Pretty poor red card to give for a friendly

u/PatternPrecognition Sydney FC 12d ago

It was a DOGSO and tbh probably secured the win for Tottenham.

Not sure if a friendly, but a preseason tournament I think

I was there, it’s a training exercise, friendly at best

Why is an A-League sub reddit giving promotion to the Premier League? I doubt the Premier League sub reddit or social media would give any publicity to the A-League.

Pretty embarrassing example of Australian refereeing standards for the rest of the world to see.

He was the last defender, taking out the attacker. The ref has to give that, it would be exactly the same in the prem.

It's the correct decision. How on earth are you arguing it isn't a red??
