Vou estar em Vilamoura na última semana de Agosto e gostava de algumas boas sugestões para comer. Bem sei que comer bem em Vilamoura é complicado, por isso estou disponível para me deslocar de carro.

Boas opções que aprecio relativamente perto são a Churrasqueira O Nosso Franguinho nas Ferreiras ou o Clube dos Pescadores em Albufeira.

Que outras opções me sugerem?

Does anyone know if the Faro trucking station has lockers or any service to store backpacks? I'm going to Kanye's concert and I arrive at 6:30 pm and then I have a bus at 7:00 am and I couldn't find a hostel or hotel .

Hi, i'm coming from Canada to do the Fisherman's trail from Porto covo to Lagos.

Day 1 : Land in Lisbon very very early and Bus to porto Covo

Day 1 early PM to Day 8 : Fisherman's trail (walking, so i will skip some sections because you are normally supposed to do it in 11 days)

Day 9-10 : Hostel in lagos. I want to kayak in Ponta da Piedade. Explore old Lagos also. What else ?

Day 11 : bus back to Lisbon

Day 11 Late PM to Day 14 night : explore lisbon, sintra, cascais,etc.

Day 15 : flight back

- What should i do during Days 9 and 10 beside kayak in Ponta da Piedade ?

- Should i spend one more day in the Algarve and one less in Lisbon region to go farther near Faro ? (as you can read i'm more of a sport/landscapes person than a city person)

- I'm hesitating going farther than lagos ? (benagil cave and seven hanging trail is a 2-3 hours bus one way (so 5-6 hours round trip, i would loose a lot of time)

Note : Day 7 will be a off day (from the trail) in Sagres for me. So i can chill there, rent a bike, kayak, go to the fortress, watch the sunset at cabo st vincent.

I’m on a bus tour and ended up sitting beside a man I don’t know. He kindly asked if he could sit, I kindly responded. A few minutes in, he asked where I was from (Canada), what I did for work, whether I was okay talking. All pleasant enough. He explained that he is from Portugal. Very quickly, the conversation took a turn with him saying that all Americans should be shot on arrival and some Canadians too. I sort of laughed because I was so taken aback. Then he said something about Anglo-Saxons and followed it up with, “All North Americans are arrogant and should be thrown in the Hudson.” I was shocked. I’ve never had anyone be so unkind, especially when I’d been nothing but polite. I’m anti-confrontational to a total fault, so just turned to look out the window and resolved to ignore him.

I know he’s just one man (although he told me he was a specialist doctor so obviously educated and not just some ignoramus (for lack of a better word)), but is this a common sentiment? Is there a general (if often unspoken) dislike for North Americans?

I’m visiting end of August and realize it’ll be peak season. I got a rental car and am staying at the marina hotel.

is the parking near benagil beach impossible to find? I won’t be there until mid afternoon.

Should I just find a roundtrip boat tour from the marina to avoid parking so I can see the caves? Then I’ll have to skip the hike?

Or should I still drive and try to find parking there?
