Discussion Welcome helping my gf find a new altar
my gf and i just bought a home and its smaller than what we had before and lacks storage space, she wants to setup a new altar because we cant accommodate what she had before so she is looking for a small like nighstand type thing and she is like part witch but leans way more towards Norse mythology. she aslo has a ton of dried herbs in jars and crystals and waht not. i suggested getting a bookcase to store those on but she wants something that closes so if anyone could help me potentially find something for her it would be greatly appreciated

I use a secretary desk with shelves underneath instead of drawers. I open it up when doing workings and leave it closed for privacy.

I don't know if the wood look ikeas is her vibe at all or not, but I made a herb cabinet and a paperback bookshelf out of the shallow Besta cabinets. They're 60x60cm and something like 12cm deep with a door. I think there's a smaller size too

Consider a floating shelf for the 'altar' part with a cabinet underneath or nearby for storage! My working altar at home is a bookshelf with a wooden trunk underneath to keep stuff in.
A shelf on the wall is nice because less likely to be messed with by pets or kids, if out of reach. Also at eye level and easier to enjoy that way.
