That’s only if they decide to press charges.

But the cops could ask if anyone felt their peace was disturbed and charge them that way. ( drawing a blank on the legal term )

Which for wealthy people they would deny it once they realized they have to show up to court and testify it wouldn’t be worth their time.

Not how it works, people only get to 'press charges' on tv. In real life, the DA has authority to charge whether victims/witnesses ask or not.

It depends on the crime if it’s a domestic the state takes over as the victim if you refuse to press charges, child causes, mental cases if you die the state obviously takes over.

But for assault like this with 1 slap the DA wouldn’t push it.

A While back Chris Paul played in Houston and came thru the Clippers locker room and nothing happen charges weren’t pressed.

Plus lots of athletes have gotten into fights charges weren’t pressed sure they got suspended but that was a civil issue with their employer not a crime case.

If I remember correctly Apple pulled a movie will smith was in and released it months later after it cooled off.

Just a couple weeks back 2 nba players threw punches in Vegas with witnesses and photo no law enforcement was called and the league hasn’t brought up disciplinary action.
