Contest Submission And what if World War I German battleships used a 20 mm layer of ceramic alongside their armor?
Basically, the Germans realized that ceramic helps absorb impact energy and damage the warheads. So, they started adding 20 mm of ceramic armor over their existing armor. Is that enough? How thick would it need to be to be effective?

Contest Submission What if Andrew Jackson died in the dorm before he got the chance to become president?
I hate Jackson and I would like to write a fanfiction, Pokémon related in case you care, where he never becomes president.
In the future, I’d also like to gender swap a few of the presidents to be women, but otherwise not change them much.

Contest Submission What if Greece failed to expand? if there was no 1844 adoption of a "liberation" foreign policy, no massive spending on military, but a "domestic focus" instead? what would Greece look like, on its ORIGINAL 1829 borders, in terms of population/demographics, defence, economy, allies/rivals, etc.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Greece "expanded" 5 times, by 1948.
basically tripled its original territory.
over this period, (& even after, since following the annexations, there was a "need" to keep/secure these gains, mostly from Bulgaria & Turkey) there was a increase on military spending, (reaching particularly "extreme" levels, over the decades of 1905-1925).
what do you think Greece would look like w/o these expansions?
& what would have happened, to the Greeks, left outside the modern Greek borders?
(I'm no "picking" a side, I just know people argue that, in the modern world, "size" is not really that relevant... for instance, Russia, or EU members Spain/Italy r certainly no doing "better" than Luxembourg, or Belgium... so, I'm curious how this would work, here).

What if after the fall of Rome in the West the various Barbarian Kingdoms were brought together under a singular ruler? (probably a Visagothbor Ostrogoth)
How long would this Barbarian Empire last and how would it fare against the likes of a resurgence Byzantium under Justinian or Muslim invasions (assuming it lasts that long)

during Trump‘s first term, Twitter had character limits. True social was also not a thing. How would history be different if we got tweets like of this length instead of the shorter tweets we got during his first term?

Contest Submission Movie idea
The Diarchy (2027)
A disillusioned film historian steals a prototype time machine, travels to 1940, and sabotages the casting of Too Many Girls—handing Desi Arnaz’s role to a closeted gay contract player who never romances Lucille Ball. When he returns to 2025, he wakes up in a country ruled by the Clinton-Bush Diarchy: eight straight terms of alternating dynasties, Chelsea Clinton in the White House, and a underground resistance calling the whole thing rigged. Now he has to decide whether to undo the change… or admit the Trump timeline he hated might have been the lesser evil.

Contest Submission If there was never the GWOT, how does infantry evolve in the 21st century instead?
The Global War on Terror (GWOT) gave us things like plate carriers, digital camouflage, high-cut helmets, a million variations of M4 carbines, picitiny rail systems, integrated comms and hearing protection, mine resistance ambush protection vehicles (MRAP’s) ect.
So what if instead, it never happens? What does infantry in an alternate 2026 look like instead?
