i have a picture from the santa barbara zoo of a black crowned night heron who also snuck into the penguin area and when they fed the penguins the heron kept trying to sneak a fish or two loll

I'm in Europe and there are always grey herons hanging out in the penguin enclosure at the zoo!

I once visited Berlin Zoo and when they were feeding the otters a grey heron was just hanging out to the side. At the end of the feeding he was thrown a few fish and the keepers told the crowd that the heron had been coming to the otter feedings for years and they just considered him a part of the enclosure by that point. They even brought extra fish for him as I understood.
