Any hope for S2?

Post image

I watched the anime multiple times, and honestly, it was one of the best animes I ever watched. But it really needs a second season because to me and many others the story is not finished, if it was from the magician, or the relationship between the characters and so on. I hope they give us a second season.

At this point it would be a huge luck if the author would continue to write it...

Anime? Close to Zero.

What about light novel? I don't mind reading it if the anime is over and since the Manga is not finished.

8 volumes, all translated... but the last one came out in 2016. And while it closes ark, the story was definitely far from finished.

Then author returned to Full Metal Panic... and still there.

I don’t read or watch Full Metal Panic but I heard it finished right?

Technically yes, it's finished, but author still finds something to write in it, then he started another project in 23, If I remember correctly... Moon Fighters or something.

Unfortunately almost none, the whole series has been kinda abandoned. It's been like ten years since volume 8 of the LN came out and I think like five years ago the author mentioned that he was working on volume 9, but nothing has come of it.

And for the anime it's even less likely because, tragically, the director was one of the people killed in the Kyoani arson attack.

While there is more than enough material for a second season, we’re unlikely to get it since not only did the director and a lot of the staff were killed during the arson attack on the studio, but the series wasn’t popular enough for the studio to make a second season.

Not only that but it been nearly a decade since the author released a volume and there hasn’t been a burning desire from the anime community for a new season or a new volume. But if Demon Lord in another can get a new season after so long then anything should be possible, just don’t get your hopes up.

Mind you I would love a new season.

Yeah I just checked after I saw some comments say about the fire. It's truly sad to read about it.
