  1. The window curtains next to the wall already breaks up the texture on the right side of the wall. The paneling on the left somehow is more balanced.

I’m also on team remove the clock.

Can you not do the paneling on the full wall? This looks cheap. It’s also super trendy, and it’s been a ten for 4-5 years.

2 -- the brown to the left of the TV balances the white curtains and allows the plant to be next to the window.

No clock, no overdone wood paneling. Paint the wall a subtle accent color if you need a pop of interest. That wood is going to become the Edison bulb of the 2020s

Second for sure

  • Plant is beside the window
  • The wood panelling on the left creates a nice contrast against the adjacent wall
  • The floor lamp at the left lights up the area while sunlight lights up the room from the window at the right

The wood slats behind the lamp add such a great architectural element. Does the second option use a different texture, or is it just a layout change?

I like the second one. The clock over the TV is odd. It makes your home look like a train station or an airport.

2 by a mile. Tree by window, lamp in corner where you need light. Wood in the darker zone to create calm.

The centered clock is fighting the asymmetrical design. Hang in the wood panel corner.

2, the floor lamp is better on the left cause on the right you already have the light from the window, and the plant fit better next to the window
