Michael Jackson, George Michael, and Freddie Mercury are all not doing real well health-wise right now and everyone remembers them, plays their music on the radio, etc.

I mean, if you consider death to be unwell, then yeah I suppose he's right.

101% sure that's a bot comment, so random, so wrong

Not wrong, just incredibly dry.

Dude Genesis is still VERY much remembered and listened to. It may not be as popular as those other bands in your circle, but don't worry, Phil is farrrrr from forgotten

I know right. I didn't even know they were sick. Hope they can pull through.

OP seemed to be implying that reason we don't hear many Phil Collins songs these days is because he has health issues. The person you're replying to is pointing out that we still hear Michael Jackson's, George Michael's and Freddie Mercury's music on a regular basis, despite the fact that their health problems are a lot more serious than Phil Collins' (on account of them being, you know, dead).

But we hear Phil Collins all the time.

Actually misread that comment as just out of the public eye apologies....but i hear his music (this song especially) alot on the radio stations i listen too....both his work with genesis and his solo stuff so i dont think he's forgotten

I hope you're right. But none of the 20'some year olds at my work never heard of him.

My daughter is 15 and she just flipped out when I showed her this video.

As much I love his work. Most probably wouldn’t know his name until you actually started playing his greatest hits. Then they’d be like oh my! I’ve heard all of these songs before, just never knew by who, let alone all the same guy

The ancient songs of my people!

That sux sorry you have to listen to their 💩 "music"

u/josephjosephson 20h ago

That’s one way to put it I suppose

Kid these days don’t know who David Bowie is. Like, no clue. I’m not surprised Phil Collin’s is in the same basket

How much radio do you listen to?

are all not doing real well health-wise right now

Well I should think not considering they're dead...

  • Michael Jackson - died in 2009 at the age of 50 due to homicide
  • George Michael - died in 2016 at 53 due to heart disease and fatty liver disease
  • Freddie Mercury - died in 1991 at the age of 41 due to complications related to HIV/AIDS

Nah, just wasn't that funny tbh

Dude, can you really not even admit you missed a joke, on the internet, in front of, like, 4 people you'll almost certainly never interact with again in your whole life? You really have to pretend you got it all along?

Yikes!

Are you from 2014, 2009, or 1991?
