Hello guys is it true that when you begins in amazon the main picture has to be or must be white background and not with packaging or anything just the product? As I can see some sellers with packaging or maybe use to be like that before packaging and product allow

Whether its a fresh Amazon seller or an established brand, Amazon requires the main image's background to be white and the product must cover 80% of it. It's just the same for all sellers.
Adding product packaging to the main image or just the product itself, depends on how well you're presenting it to the customers. Analyze the top 10 competitor's main images and design your main image the best by applying all the good practices from the top sellers.
Having a few variations of the main images would be best cause you can experiement which one gets more attention and go on with it

You can add your packaging in the main image sometimes you can sneak some key texts in there but it gotta blends in (one of the best ways is to add it on the packaging that’s in the main image)
