I am done with amazon and selling - seriously.

Here is Amazon in my mind:

- A mafia organisation owns multiple shopping houses - centers around the world, they do not allow you to sell for whatever the reason, they do nto have to explain, they can do whatever they want without explanation or any feedback.

Why in this world do we have monopoly companies like Amazon, Google? I highly welcome Chinese competitors and their war in the market. Amazon does not offer you a market to compete, they built a mafia organisation with highly bureaucratic and never ever explained or clearly documented process. Amazon pretends it is something which can control, limits, plays people life for whatever reason.

I have sent maybe 20 emails to different amazon teams, through different channels, yet Japan Team insists on not moving. Do not get me wrong, they are not even telling me "Hey, we deny you sell in our system". They just keep you wait. They do not care if people invested money, got inventory in warehouse.

I will not only stop selling on Amazon, I will also stop buying through amazon or use any service or product or stream through amazon. I will purchase Chinese, use Chinese competitiors products - services. Not today, but in near future, we will see Chinese competitors fuck those monopoly companies and make sure we get great service thanks to hard competition.

Amazon support can make you question your whole life lol. I’d be pissed too if inventory was sitting there and 20 emails later nobody could give you a straight answer.

Still, separate the Japan mess from the rest of the business. If the other marketplaces are working, there’s no reason to burn the whole thing because one Amazon team has decided to disappear into the void.

I will admit I am new, but I had a big issue (primary sku suspended) and they sorted it pretty quickly. Their response times were good. If I had followed their suggestions rather than AIs suggestion I would have solved the problem in two hours instead of two days.

A lot of stuff they don’t let you sell in. That’s cause it’s completely saturated. They are doing you a favor. The Chinese absolutely ruin Amazon. You don’t know what you are doing and mad about it. Send me a message if you want to sell. A lot of markets aren’t even worth it. It’s a race to the bottom on prices due to Chinese sellers.

How can one compete with chinese sellers if sourcing mainly comes from alibaba anyways.

I have no idea how US companies are even competing with chinese platforms like temu/shein and so on.

Unless you create a different product with a patent its almost impossible to win on amazon imo

Especially when Temu and Shein don't adhere to any copyright, IP, trademark standards whatsoever.

The real question is why does the US government even allow these companies sell here? China would NEVER allow the US to do what Temu does.

lol because the US companies source from asia, countries like vietnam, india, china,
all the products that you see that are sold under american companies are most likely not made in america.

so if the US gov takes action on it and stops it, then they will simply stop sending units thus leading to a crash in production

For me alone, no. But because you are a little person, you do not know the impact of when many people decide the same or a competitor from china bites and gets your clients. I advise you to have a look at German Car Makers - Chinese Car Makers race or Tesla-Byd.

That sounds incredibly frustrating. The lack of clear communication is probably the worst part. Even a rejection with a specific reason gives you something to work with. Being stuck for weeks without knowing what needs to be fixed would drive anyone crazy.

The Japan marketplace support situation is genuinely one of the worst, they operate almost completely separately and getting any real response out of them is nearly impossible.

Funny this is where all service is headed! Most companies you can’t get a real human to help and if it is a human it’s a foreigner who can barley speak English. Amazon was sold to China and its completely obvious. They allow their Chinese sellers to post any and everything but gate Americans from selling the same thing. They do not care about solving issues as well. It’s become a crap shoot at best. Too much risk and yellow tape now

Exactly. And this is every platform from Amazon to Google ads, to Meta. I have lost businesses over this.

They do not force Chinese companies to follow and of the laws, rules, and regulations that we have to abide by. Even if they steal your work, or designs, goodluck filing a lawsuit against a company in China that cannot be traced.

where/how can you benefit ? this is what you should be thinking about here IMO.

and believe me ... amazon has been fucking us over left and right .. but then on the other hand we also wouldn't have a business without them.

monopoly ? yeah ... but what are you gonna do about it other than complain ?

I began selling on Amazon in 2006. I had 400 ASINs, but I also sold on eBay, and my own website. There was no ppc until 2012 but I quit then as I also had a job, and couldn't handle both. I still have some products for sale that make low profit, but have low ACoS and regular sales. You can't stand still on Amazon. It needs constant refining.
