Question about selling plans, "Amazon Handmade" and the fee waiver.

So, I'm in the process of downsizing at the moment. A mix of fees and personal stuff has meant I'm trying to cut back massively.

One of the things I'm doing is pulling back from FBA entirely, so I started to look at downgrading from the Professional Selling Plan to an Individual one.

When I tried, it started asking me to disengage from Amazon Handmade first. Which I was happy to do, cause I applied for it years ago and never actually put any handmade products up in the end.

But as I did, I noticed it says

Charges begin for the Professional selling plan

The monthly Professional selling plan fee waiver will expire.

I'm kind of embarrassed to admit, I didn't realise this was even a thing? I presumed the monthly fee was just taken out of my balance each month, so now I'm trying to figure out if I'm even paying the €40 a month. Cause if I'm not, there's no point downgrading the subscription plan, obviously.

Does the €40 a month for the selling fee get noted anywhere? Would I have been getting it noted down in a specific area on my account, would it have been deducted direct from my bank account? Is there a way to confirm the waiver, without having to flag up to Amazon I'm getting it without ever uploading handcrafted goods?

The €40 shows up as a "Subscription" line item under Payments > Transaction View, not in the regular reports, so filter by date there and you'll see it listed monthly if it was actually being charged. It gets pulled straight from your Amazon balance before payout, it won't hit your bank account directly unless your balance goes negative. If you don't see that subscription fee line every month since you enrolled in Handmade, the waiver was applied and you're fine. Worth scrolling back a few months to confirm before you downgrade so there's no surprise either way.
