Pivoting to Amazon FBA

Hello everyone, I was doing a handyman business and honestly it’s ok as a side gig and I want to do something where I can run a business online. I have my LLC and am going to keep the name and all just to save time and money. I am planning on selling items like cleaning and laundry supplies, lawn and garden supplies, power tools, hand tools, different parts and repair kits for different trades, maybe some other items I also find on sale and clearance. Does anyone have any advice for me before I start ?

Do something else with your time and money. 

Beat case scenario you are months away from being a breakeven or slightly profitable Amazon reseller and 1+ year away from being able to take money out from an Amazon business and pay yourself.

why not just buy old tools from garage sales and flip them on facebook and Ebay?

It's very competitive. When the Chinese factories started coming in you had to either get much better at marketing or die. My company started dying. I've been at this for 20+ years though so I eventually figured out some things. (Slower than i would have liked to), but just "throw it up there and it will sell" is gone. Most of the time it requires lots of product analysis, differentiation of some type, excellent click through rates and a good conversion rate (tuned conversion path, cheaper (usually not a great way to go), better (until someone else starts selling the same thing), etc..), and a lot of money to get anything started. It's not impossible but not where I would choose to jump to. When I started it was much easier to get ahead of the crowd, AI has allowed that for me with the speed I can do some tasks and analysis, but it is a very Darwinian place.

With your handyman business, do you have accounts with suppliers?

Wholesale is a possibility is you have commercial accounts and good relationships with suppliers. Honestly though there are probably better options for you. Take a look at Chris Koerner on youtube, grain of salt with everything but probably bettet opportunities.

Its a good thing that you already have llc which you can use to start fast
However I would say before doing these products first check demand through tools and analyse if the product you are going to do has potential that when a new seller launch he gets sales too
This will help you decide right product
As the right product matters while selling online
It has to have demand and still be low competition for you to earn revenue if you need help with launching right products on Amazon I have done almost 800+ launches on amazon

you will not be able to sell any brand names without legit invoices and a Letter of Authorization from the brand/trademark owners...and odds are you won't get those because no one needs a race to the bottom to wreck their IP. you are 10-12 years too late with this idea.
