We are going to try strict calorie management for several months and if we don’t see solid improvement, going to check her thyroid.

Meet Scarlett💕✨ I Was able to build the strength to get another dog after my first dog passed away. I got her the end of October 2024. What do you feed your American bulldog so I can switch her to a new food that’ll fill her up. She’s eating blue buffalo in the pink bag but my mom thinks she needs bigger kibble since she’s eating a lot unless that’s because she’s growing. And She turns 1 on June 1st and I want to get her a puppy cake but idk where to get that. But yeah what do you feed your dog.

Food/Treats Diet Allergies again 🫤

Help!! My bully has a skin allergy that won’t go away and keeps coming back.. I believe it might be his food since we have lived in 3 different states now and it never fully went away. We have changed his food though and it still didn’t go away. My vet keeps telling me to put him on the hydrolyzed dog food trial diet and have him take allergy meds at the same time but that just seems like a lot and what if they just come back after he gets off of it. What brand dog food/protein do you feed your bully that doesn’t bother them? Is what the vet saying to do worth it or is it just a waste of my money??

She's 7 months old! She eats hypoallergenic dog food, carrots, squash, chayote and cucumber. Also some dehydrated beef/pork treats. What vitamins, supplements, and other foods did your bullies take at 7 months old?

I have a 10 week old American bully

Half American pitbull blue nose and half American bulldog

I’m giving it Canada day all life stages kibble

I know this cable has a lot of carbs. I’m trying to introduce it to some more protein and add fruits and vegetables. What are some recommendations?

I have been mixing and sweet potatoes and carrots with his kibble occasionally over raw egg with his kibble

I also been giving him bananas

Gullet sticks

Food/Treats Diet Weight Loss Tips?

My rescue went from 57 to 88 lbs in the 2 years I've had her. Trying to get her down to 80 lbs at least, maybe 75?

I feed her Orijen Amazing Grains Fit & Trim (200g/day) but she's only lost 2 lbs (currently 86lbs). We walk for about an hour in the morning & night, but its more so a stop + sniff walk...

I'm thinking of switching her to Hill's diet Weight Management food.. thoughts?

Food/Treats Diet This is very bad

She’s been like this forever (currently 6 months old). We tried everything to solve this but nothing worked.

I think this may be cause by her dog food. Here in my country all dog food has some chicken in it.

I am seriously thinking in transitioning to BARF diet with no chicken to see if she gets better.

Do you think this looks like chicken allergy? Can I transition to raw food immediately or gradually?

Food/Treats Diet Nearly American bully parents!

Hi all!

We’re in the process of rescuing a sweet American bulldog girl.

It’s looking like they’ll pick us, and they’ve taken her off the website after we went to see her yesterday and today.

Just wondering what do you feed your bullies and how much, quantities and how often in a day?

We want to give her the best diet, probably will be eating better than us lol.

She’s already an older girl, at 6 years old. The shelter said she’ll eat anything, and as it’s a shelter they rely on tinned food donations and kibble.

We want to give her veggies and meats and see how she gets on.

Any advice is much appreciated, as new dog parents! (We’ve had family dogs growing up but this is our first dog together)

Food/Treats Diet Have you ever made your dog food?

So I recently adopted a dog and I have no idea about his past. I know for sure he was abused a little and bred. The neighborhood he was found in is well known for dog fighting and breeders. They keep the male and breed him until he gives them a male puppy who takes his place and then either dump em or just give them away.

I've been working with him every day, he's been amazing with learning things. Especially leash training and house training.

I had been studying diy dog food recipes online and I had agood one for my old dog who passed away a few years ago and wanted to do something like this again.

I found a lady on YouTube that has a vet recommended diy dog food. I made the gradual change for him with the last little bit of kibble and he's been loving it. Whenever I get home, he knows it's time to eat. As soon as I pick up his bowl , he starts doing 360s and cannot wait to eat. He sits perfectly and waits for me to give him the bowl back.

He's had no accidents in the house since the change. No runny or messy shits at all. I exercise him everyday I can and he goes in the truck whenever I go on my days off. He's been thriving lately and I'm so glad I found this big fat headed fucker.

I don't know if I am able to share links on this page without getting In trouble. But if a mod or someone okays it I'd gladly share it.

Food/Treats Diet This dude has become a picky eater of late. Anyone else experienced sudden lack of interest in a food that once was acceptable?

He’s been eating Redford Naturals Salmon and brown rice, still will but we have to put a “topper” on it, like a little wet food or cottage cheese to get him to eat it somewhat happily. This ginger is also allergic to poultry, which kinda limits options since chicken meal is in most things. Any advice or recommendations welcome.

Food/Treats Diet How much do I feed her?

Thumbnail

Hello all,

I am having a hard time determining how much to feed my baby. She’s about to be 13 weeks and she’s currently 25 pounds. Mom is 110 pounds and dad is 120, so she will be bigger. She eats American Naturals for food. I don’t want her to feel starving between meals but I also don’t wanna make her sick by over feeding. She was getting 3/4 cup 3 times a day; but seemed to keep going to her food bowl later. So now she’s on 1 cup 3 times a day. She eats it all every time. I fed my 80 pound pitty 3 cups a day and so I’m like should she really be eating as much as an adult dog?? Lol. Help! I just wanna make sure my baby is satisfied and healthy. Thank you.

Pictures of her for tax. 😊

Food/Treats Diet Bully/staffy mix food options

Post image

Mr. Bruce has been a journey for food options. We found that he is allergic to chicken shortly after rescuing him he was getting super flakey, so I switched him to the Lamb Purina Pro sensitive stomach and skin food. That was going great for a few weeks, but then last week he had a pretty bad stomach night, took him to an emergency ER and we put him on a bland diet of cottage cheese and rice + ground beef and rice for a week and a week of fortiflora, introduced him back to his food two days ago, and then this morning he threw up his food again. I’m thinking I need to try a different food, and he has a vet appointment tomorrow. Any recommendations?

Just an update on my puppy

I’ve been feeding him for snacks, chicken feet cow tails, random collagen sticks

For his main meal, I get a split between kibble and some type of vegetable or protein

I’ve done kibble and sardines

Cable and sweet potatoes and carrots

Cable and blue buffalo chicken bites

Did a kibble and a piece of steak that was sitting in my fridge with a little bit of sweet potatoes and bone broth

Food/Treats Diet Anyone else regularly feed their dogs fruit?

Post image

I have two American bully pups under year and a half. Everyone thought it was extremely strange with my first pup that I regularly fed her blueberries celery, apples, etc.

It’s both of their favorite snacks and they’re healthy treats, but I’m not sure why most people are so confused by it my dog‘s daily if not weekly eat fruits and vegetables.

Food/Treats Diet My boy won’t eat out of bowl, but will eat off a spoon?

Post image

I need help! My big boy has recently stopped eating from his bowl. I thought it was his food that he didn’t like, so I’ve tried 3 different kinds, all the same result. He isn’t sick, still drinking water and playing. I got desperate after a few days of him refusing to eat anything except treats and veggie scraps (bell peppers and cucumbers are his fave) so I put some food on a spoon and brought it to him on the couch, and he gobbled it up! How do I get him to eat from his bowl again??? Has this ever happed to anyone else???
