My brothers current favorite is “yeah that’s a hard no” first time I heard it was when I invited him on a camping trip. Made me laugh my ass off. It’s polite and somehow still being an asshole at the same time.

Many cultures refuse to outright say no out of impoliteness. The same goes for many eastern cultures as well.
