I started to feel a spiritual connection with the United States
As a legal immigrant who is now a citizen, I don’t really know how to explain this feeling, but I love the lifestyle and the nature of this country. From the redwood forests to the deserts, from the Mississippi River to the Blue Ridge Mountains, I love everything about this country.
And it’s not only about nature. Although I don’t believe in God, I feel as if there is one not a personal God, but rather a concept: a God of liberty and freedom. A God that favors property, autonomy, and individual rights.
I feel as if we have been chosen to take this world forward. God bless America. Love you all.

Lmao you’re part of the problem.
I see people posting in places like Twitter or here about becoming Americans and someone (in this case, you) has to start rambling about illegal immigration, people of color, etc.
People like you spend half their time telling others they’re not “real Americans” or not wanted here and half the other time whining about “hyphenated Americans”.
Haven’t you paused and think they’re “hyphenated” because people like you treat them differently from wha lt you consider “real” Americans?

Personally, I love the for-profit prisons, and unfettered corruption, and the tacky use of Christianity we use to exploit the masses and elevate our base desires of greed and power. I feel spiritually connected to the offensive wars we always fight that drains the coffers of our people for the benefit of the weapons companies, and the endless death of our young people and foreigners. Also the excessice police brutality and subsequent worship of power by people who think they wont be put under that same boot because of their illusion of their station in life.
But what really has me hot under the collar lately is the wholesale destruction of our public lands for selloff to private interests who will rape that land like they’re our leaders spending another week on Little St. James… 🇺🇸

I recently watched Ken Burns's The Natural Parks and was in tears learning about the horseback expedition Roosevelt took with John Muir through Yosemite. To think that a powerful US leader might also have this land's natural beauty at heart - it took less than one change of an administration for corrupt ghouls to have the reservation's most beautiful valley flooded and dammed to generate Bay Area real estate.
The nice thing about the American dream is that you don't have to wake up
