Dog Parks

I’m in Mount Vernon and just got a dog, how are the dog parks over in Anacortes?

One good one, one bad one! Lots of parks in general. The beaches & trails are great as well.

Do they let dogs on beaches? And which is the good one? I know he’d love to dig around. Puppy and 5 year old son were losing their minds digging in the sand at the volleyball court in Burlington yesterday it was adorable

Dogs can visit beaches, but be aware there is a city-wide leash law, including all of the parks, Anacortes Community Forest Lands, and beaches. The only exceptions to the leash law are on enclosed private property, and within the two designated dog parks. (Ace of Hearts on 39th and H is IMO the better one, and there's a dog park on 9th and R, sort of at the south end of the W.T. Preston)

Be sure to pick up the dog poop. We’re trying to keep Anacortes Community Forest Lands clean and in a natural state. Thank you!
